You can't just magically print money to pay for everything the current or next coach will need. It has to come from somewhere.

So, football? Women's hoops? Wrestling? Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Baseball gone. Unfortunately. That is not a sustainable program that competes on a national level. Other schools keep baseball but cut wrestling for example. Have to decide do we just limit our programs to be able to participate in other programs or do we cut the fat to invest more.

There definitely has to be more investment in men's basketball. But, that also includes contributors from off-campus. Nobody was going to put $$ in while Fran was still coach. At least now there may be a chance of some donors increasing the pot (especially, depending on the new hire).

Understanding where Iowa sits and making financial decisions to help with that first of all. Marketing and publicizing the new era of the program through fan connection events throughout the state to raise more funds. Carver improvements over time once the proof of concept is developed.

For sure Iowa needs to add resources. I think the first step towards building resources is a new coach who can connect better with the fan base. Clearly the fans gave up on Fran after the 21/22 tournament failures.
