New season of Serial is very good so far. Disappointing that more people didn't listen to Season 3 after 2 was so disappointing, imo it was even better than the first.

Season 3 was so good and I can't help but feel that by zooming out to focus on actual systemic issues instead of one single lurid story it did a lot of more genuinely valuable reporting and also the audience demonstrated they were way less interested in that
they were definitely heading in the right direction about what kind of story they should tell but they were too stuck on "we gotta have an enigmatic person at the center of this" but it wasn't as captivating as Adnans story
yeah, to me it felt like they had reported themselves into a corner and kinda had a non-story by the end, but it's been a few years since I've listened to it
