What’s interesting is that - although I *have* heard that title used that way! - that’s not how the story works at all. The lady isn’t a shitty outcome!

I mean, from the perspective of the princess, it is, if the writing is to be trusted! :p
(I do think it's obviously better than the tiger -- and the story goes out of its way to try and establish a false equivalence there in what I think is a test of the morality of the reader.)
