Anything comparable tends to use stock images of toys or CG models or even AI imagery. The plagiarism here is inexcusable but at least somebody had to draw or paint it. This whole subgenre of “activity” books for lack of a better term seems to have lost out to iPads and phones.
Haven't really thought of that aspect--- but that does make sense! I think the kind of "activity" books that have the most staying power are those Usborne great search books (if they're even in the market anymore...)
I know they were still selling the dinosaur-themed one just a couple of years ago, with the exact same art too! That’s another one that’s utterly stuffed with plagiarism but it’s just too nostalgic to hurt my opinion of it.
The Great Prehistoric Search is what I favored more growing up, probably because it felt more "modern" compared to the Great Dinosaur Search (despite it plagiarizing a lot from a 15+ year old book)
