I feel this. A few months ago, I had to redesign 6 Characters of mine and draw designs for 2 I'd planned for later, because some asshole tried to steal them.

And it had me nearly deciding to give up drawing entirely...But I prevailed, and I'm drawing what I like again ^^

Well it isn't the viewers who do that, it's the hostile algorithm on X that will bury any posts you make that aren't consistent, so even your own followers don't see them

So far here I've gotten more engagement despite having 1300 followers on X

i've seen too many ppl on twitter who got addicted to clout because some posts will do well, and grew sick of drawing a certain thing and wanted to move on, and would grow fearful that their followers would hate them.

i also had a state where i forced myself to draw splatoon to keep my splatoon audience happy but then i just kind of....got tired of it. im glad i broke free of that eventually TuT
