It does sort of read like "We've got too much time on our hands, suppose we wondered if the universe could do *This*?" Well, yes, I mean theoretically it's poss... "Aha! Then that means it would then turn itself inside out and upside down and that'll make some very nice headlines!"

Yeah...I'll admit while some of this stuff is cool I just don't get existential horror about this sort of stuff any more, because there are just so many different ways for us to just poof out of existance way beyond our control
