That’s a very good lesson in that story… but irl I hope that seeking forgiveness and making amends could at least be like wood filler… and over time, with the sanding and varnishing of friendship/family and love, perhaps the wounds would hardly even be visible anymore. 🕊️

one of my kids caught RSV at birth...the worst fears after 'baby is critically ill and I'm terrified of him dying' was 'he could have damaged lungs forever.' The irony? He recovered completely! Two family members had lung damage for *years* (i want my damn RSV vax dammit! 'too young' my ass!)
