WE WON THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD IN THE #gamejam

I joined this Friday a GameJam (from the GlobalGameJam) and I'm making a #godot game with my group!

So the #globalgamejam prompt was "Bubble". Our take was a WarioWare-like anthology of minigames for 2 players. The objective is to survive more minigames than the other player. Every minigame increases the speed of the next and so on.

We made this game because we had lots of little ideas for mechanics that could not be a full game, even for a jam. Then someone said "why don't we put them all together?".
After that we decided it to be for 2 players to give "add some sugar", a better reason to play such a simple and short game.

After all I believe this was a key decision because of the simplicity of every minigame meaning less development time and flexibility. We could discard one if we were short of time (we did).

In the end lots of people from the jam tested the game and loved it. Friends as well as total unknowns played together, competed and had lots of fun.
Maybe that's why when the participants of the jam voted for their best game we were selected.

I was confident that we could won something but did not make my mind up enough until they said our game's name. "Pompastic". After that, just euphoria.
The prize were some mouses, mouse pads, other minor computer stuff and a 3D printed trophy (which I'm most excited about).

The winner by jury's decision was another very cool game. But really, I'm happy and proud enough to have won the secondary award because this was my first GameJam ever.
That said, my group was very kind and hardworking. I could not have won without their effort and ideas.
