Napster, Tidal and Apple Music all pay artists much more than Spotify and pay ALL artists, regardless of their popularity. Apart from Apple Music, you can also easily switch your profile (saved albums, playlists and followed artists) to more ethical services using Soundiiz - just saying.

I mean, the debate about record labels exploiting artists is as old as record labels themselves. You have to make decisions but if you stick with the exploiters you can't complain about them.
And the alternatives are only incrementally less worse — as long as there’s no user-centric payment model as a default, they’re all shite.
Wonder why the artists didn't come up with this, like pooling money and buying Bandcamp or whatever.
BTW the Spotify model is one of the reasons I'm not using it.
And after the initial rush of the iTunes download Store, with Apple trying to make a fair deal, the labels jumped on the opportunity to kill downloads and build a whole new profit universe with Streaming
Not that my actual band (not my namesake) have ever seen a penny for our less than 1000 plays. Ever.

I m having a good look at other streaming services.
It’s a life saver of a platform but a shame there’s not a streaming model - 10 free streams a month and maybe £3 a month for 100 streams would be great.
