yes. This is a new Google Play settings but we will disable it in the next update.

Push notifications require Google Play to be installed. On degoogled versions of Android the app does no longer work. I use /e/os but it probably is the same for CalyxOS and GrapheneOS. I like Openvibe a lot. Please rethink your implementation. Like not checking on startup, so I can opt out.

Notice the issue comes and goes like when I start the app the status bar will show everything, but if I let's say click the composer, it'll immediately black out the status bar and it won't come back unless I fully close the app and go back in.

Thats exactly the issue, turning black when it should remain white and readable in dark mode...

I'm likely the odd case, but I had trouble opening the app after the update as I install and update via the Aurora app and not google play, it kept rerouting and insisting uninstall via play

I'm an oddball on Lineage OS who islands apps though haha

The app has one drawback: you can't set the language of a post, like in the native app. As a result, the post might end up in the wrong feed.
