Capitalism makes enough money through what we buy. Consumerism alone is more than enough to keep the wheels turning. IMO Healthcare should be free like it is here in Scotland. No-one’s health should suffer because it’s unaffordable.
The problem in the US is that we’re allergic to taxes. Not sure about the system in Scotland, but the NHS in Britain has suffered from under investment for years for the same reason.
The rich can pay cash for whatever care they need and they make the rules. They don’t like to pay for your care.
Voting only works when money doesn’t equal speech. We (Americans) aren’t particularly violent as individuals, but we have become far too permissive with institutional violence.

The very rich have access to great medical care. The middling sort get “ok” care and well, you know the rest.
Since the very rich also have the power to make all the rules, the system reflects their needs

I’m in Scotland and here we don’t even pay for prescribed medicines.
