It’s difficult to find anything that really backs that up, but my mother tells me that. And I know for certain that the USA denied the Frank family entry. A lot of countries didn’t want to let the Jewish folks in. So they turned a blind eye until the third reich started expanding.

This reminds me... I started watching a docu-series a few years ago directed by Oliver Stone. It was about history and WWII and such. I remember it being really good but I only watched 1 or 2 episodes and didn't finish. I may have to pick that up again one day soon...

But the British and French didn't care about the Germans hurting Jewish people in the slightest. They just watched.
