The number cited applies only to federally regular industries.

The minimum wage for most workers is set by the province or territory and ranges from $15.00 to $19.00 (the $19.00 rate is in Nunavut, where the cost of living is very high)

All those many years (42) ago when I had the opportunity to consider a move from UK to Bellevue for employment with a software company (yes that one) and I thought hard about it.
Through the agency, I asked about the benefits such as holidays and healthcare.
I didn't proceed any further.

I wouldn't mind moving to Canada. I'd have to adjust to the metric system, speed signs, gas prices and might have to Duolingo French though.
