It's a heinous weed and it just gets everywhere. Right now I'm fighting Italian arum, johnsongrass, creeping charlie, liriope, vinca, elderberry, brambles, wisteria, English ivy, Virginia creeper, and tallow trees.
Get this: my Mom asked if she could take some for her lawn.
My true bane is Japanese Privet. I tried to let part of my land go back to wild but all I got was privet. I mowed it down again so at least the deer and groundhogs get a meadow.
Well ... that IS why the demon weed is around! I'm sure you took the opportunity to explain it to her.
Privet is horrible, but it's not a huge problem for me because the seedlings are easy to pull out. But I have a central-city quarter acre. You sound like you are out further -- harder to control.
Yeah, you name it, I get it. I'm not rural, but live in an area squished between cities that used to be outer suburbs. Huge lots and woods; tiny houses.

The flowers are very cute, but they are troublesome weed that invade the gardens.
If it would just grow and takeover the grass, we could be friends. But no, it has to head straight for the vegetable garden.
