I think anyone who has been in the fashion for long enough--not even a long time, just comfortable with it--learns irl from their own experiences + from other Lolitas how normal rewear is, even if it's not as obvious from SM! The only dresses I don't rewear as much as I'd like are the OTT ones haha

Saaaaame! I have an INSANE Dress from Doris Night, that is SOOO big and opulent that I can't wear as much as I wanted to (mostly because it has almost 1kg of jewelry attached to it)

Rewearing is the way! The dresses are well made articles of clothing meant to be worn and loved, and there are a lot of options for creative coords with a single piece. Personally I've gotten 10+ years out of a lot of my pieces, and theres nothing wrong with that!

I have non-lolita pieces I've owned+worn for 10+ yrs too! (From staples to unique statement pieces.) I've only been wearing Lolita for 5 yrs, so I haven't owned anything for that long, but I still have my 1st dress, + I own some older dresses that I'm happy stuck around for me to find years later ^^

I usually only post when I coord a new-to-me dress or occasions, so it did look like I don't rewear things--I never considered how someone learning abt Lolita would take from that, even tho I'd reiterate that rewear is normal bc (1) I 💜 these dresses, and (2) shit is too expensive to wear only once😂
