At least it's not a Live Service Game.

PC Gamer already asked, and got told that they're not going that direction. It's just the Souls-Like Rogue-Like, which is stealing a bit from the rest of the industry.

It looks like a bit of a sandbox for the Devs to throw spaghetti at walls in.

In the IGN interview with Nightreing's director Junya Ishizaki he says: "initially I took the idea to Miyazaki-san, who gave it the green light."

He talks about wanting to try something different, and to knowledge FROM completely owns Elden Ring. It sounds like Bandai didn't ask for anything.
