Which video game console did you own longest before moving on to the next one?
For me both PS2 and PS4 Pro are tied at 7 years.

And she does her part well. Replaying AC Odyssey at the moment and she hasnβt crashed once for the whole first third of the game, Iβm so proud of her.
Ngl Iβm probably the only person on earth that misses the nunchucks π
Nintendo: Wii (11 years, never got a Wii U)
Sony: PS3 (8 years)
Microsoft: 360 (8 years, sold in 2013 and moved on entirely from Microsoft)
Thing is, that entire time I had my last computer, I not once cleaned it, scanned it, or even updated the drivers.
I donβt know how it was managing to run the games I was asking it to ππ
So many games that were just replayable.
But tbf, I used my handhelds like my DS Lite, DSi and then my 3DS more π
Second place goes to the Nintendo 3DS for 8 years and third to the Wii for 5 years tho the PS5 is nearing the 5 year mark.
I still have all my old consoles, starting with NES, but 8 years is the max between two main gaming machines.
I had a PS2 and then my brother in law just let me borrow his old PS5 (he bought a new one because his had overheating issues)
I remember playing a lot of Guitar Hero and RPG's on it too.
Making the jump?
I didn't play it that much, but I didn't get another console until PS2 (slim).
(Mostly play on computer - Amiga then Windows/PC)
PS4 is certainly a contender and still used, even though I picked up a PS5 at launch
I was working at GameStop and I refused to upgrade until I saw our store slowly transitioning away from PS3 games. I think it was maybe 10 years for me also before I finally caved and upgraded. π₯² 06-2016/17?
I bought a Steam Deck specifically to emulate that haha
But I hated going round to my friends house to play games. I always got hit with having to use a controller like this on PS2
