Been playing lot of PSVR2 lately, and as someone who owned the first I’m pretty impressed with the improvements: good controllers, single wire connection, eye spacing, see-through mode, etc. However I really don’t think it’s worth anywhere near the original ~£500 price. - ThreadSky

The wiring for me is the biggest plus point!
I do think so far psvr1 has the better games, but it was such a pain to set up!

Sony trying to sell this thing for more than a PS5 when let’s face it, it’s an accessory, is wild. I bought mine secondhand from a friend for very cheap. Only way I’d be interested in it new is if it was £250 at most.

The movement with the controllers is so much better now that they're not stuck to the ps3 hardware hardware with the move wands and single usbc cord is so much better than the mess on the original. Still the most comfortable vr I've used I think.
3-350 is a nice price for this I think personally

For launch price, sure. Personally if I was buying it new I would wait until it’s £250 or less. That’s my comfortable price point, that’s all I’d spend on this as something I wouldn’t use too often.

Oh yeah sorry with excange rate im usd so we are in same range for pricing! Yeah I've used mine a good bit personally, it's my favorite way to play no man's sky so I got a couple hundred hours on that haha and the hitman ve update coming soon should be a great way to play thay franchise

Yeah I've just got the same save for that game since launch going it's been just a nice unwind game and the amount work they've done from the ground up just for psvr2 was nice and makes it hard to play that game in any other way but vr for me now. I've enjoyed every indie game on it so far as well!

I considered getting one over the summer and again during the holiday season when they put them on sale for $350, which I expect will become somewhat common since they don’t sell much at MSRP. Would you say it’s a worthwhile investment at $350? If so, I may get one next time they go down.

I was so tempted with how cheap it was marked down over the holidays but ended up passing just because I didn't feel like I'd have enough time to devote to it this year. There are some releases on there is really like to play though

If you can find it in great condition for 250 or less then maybe consider it. However, be warned that like anything pre-owned (especially something that touches people’s faces) can be gross. While my friend’s one wasn’t (more dusty from lack of use) it did need a thorough clean with anti-bac wipes.

I’m glad consoles are embracing vr. It really will be the future of gaming once AR glasses become the standard. Currently headsets Kermit pretty niche though it is gaining mainstream popularity with headsets like PSVR and Quest standalone. Will 2025 be the year VR goes Mainstream?

After I’ve got the Platinum in the PS5 version I’ll have a quick play. Trophies are disabled in the VR version so it’s counterproductive to me to do a whole playthrough in VR. I’ll probably play just a little.
