All I know is neither Marley nor I are going to know what to do without him in the house. He was a vivid presence at all times, even when he could no longer walk so well. He was just such a part of my life for so long, and we went through so much together.
To be honest, Gary, he was rarely sweet. He was a selfish and sneaky little sociopathic bastard, quite often (although after his stroke two years ago, he became much more affectionate and could, on occasion, pass for sweet now and then).
