Apart from it’s impactful language, this letter demonstrates that AUSAs everywhere, of different political leanings, work fulfilling careers side-by-side because of such enduring DOJ principles of “rule of law” and “without fear or favor,” as these events have so vividly portrayed. Ties that bind.
Yeah but Scotten gave trump a pass in all of this
“ he even understands how a Chief Executive whose background is in business and politics might see the contemplated dismissal-with-leverage as a good, if distasteful, deal."
That’s a bullshit free pass for Trump ,cause he just didn’t know better
Let's hope there is a future for this guy working FOR the country in some elected or administrative capacity. It's sad that there are so few with his courage and integrity willing to do the right thing.
Courageous too was Ed Sullivan who stepped up and agreed to do it, knowing it was wrong but saving his colleagues' careers in the process. Good on him.

Not sure how anyone can separate those two things. I wonder what their reactions would have been if the defendant was a Republican governor.
Even when the corruption is literally shoved in their faces they can’t except the fact trump is responsible

At least this guy has enough integrity to see where this is heading and to not want to be part of the dredges.
And your both sides thing is bullshit as well
I only see one side ripping our constitution to shreds
Too much daily chaos.
But what I read is he could “understand” a motive, not that he condoned a motive.
I agree with you that he still gave trump a pass, and I agree with you that one side is ripping our constitution to shreds.
