The parapet wall I’m standing in front of is about hip high, then the cornice extends out like 8’ so I’d have to crawl up to get onto that flat surface you see
I actually stated a spreadsheet for this. To date I've been on 53 rooftops. Possible I forgot a couple minor ones by the time I finally started the spreadsheet, and some heights are estimated based on floor clout/ceiling height. But I feel pretty condifent this is fairly accurate.
I used that and a variety of other sources, so most are exact. But there are a few shorter residential buildings and/or older "infill" properties that aren't as well documented.
What would it take to convince you to build paper airplanes and hurl them off the rooftops? If you mark contact info in/on them, people could volunteer to write back and tell you where they found it.
Haha. Not something I'd want to do when an engineer/building management is with me. Curious what the chances are it'd make it down to the street and into someone's hands
Yes, please don't do that...I've been on a fair amount of them, but not as many as you...somewhere on a SSD, I have day and night photos of La Salle St. from the former observation deck of the Board of Trade, and the hatch gave me a one-of-kind view of Ceres from directly below.
