Powerful tremors ripple through Bangkok! 🌊 A 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar caused a rooftop pool to overflow, sending water cascading down. Tremors were felt as far as Thailand and China.

Perversely, that's actually a good anti-earthquake measure as it functions as a mass-damper. At least until all the water is dumped out. There is a tuned liquid damper in the Hancock Tower (in Boston).

Yes! Good point. I was inside the damper atop St. Regis before they filled it. Gotta see if I can find the photo. Spoiler, it's not very exciting.
