is it me or is there way less of a push for leftist policies nowadays? like taxing the rich and universal healthcare and the rest the stuff the left was pushing for in 2020? they were pretty damn popular, maybe we should hop on that again if we’re gonna use these 4 years to build ground - ThreadSky

idk i feel like people still like them, the push has just gone dormant since there hasn’t been a solid outlet for it to make gains. biden and harris refused all of it but there’s gonna be huge redoing of approach for the next four years so now’s a good time as any to push again i say

In the US as the very least I think there was a big push for it back in 2020 mainly cuz of the Democratic Primarys and people like Bernie championing it and it being clearly popular and other figures doing the same because of that

But since then due to Both Biden and Kamala being very centrist alongside the rampant attacks on progressive policies from the right and democrats not have a backbone to defend them in fear of losing moderate voters it all simmered down a lot

By US Politician standards I think they can be considered centrist, the main think they were right leaning on was war and border stuff. The main thing Biden was decently liberal on was Unions, especially compared to other presidents, And Kamala was mainly good on Women’s Rights obviously
