Correct - seems to me that the Biden admin doing climate policy was pulling in EU imports already before the IRA. But the IRA certainly wasn't bad for the EU! The accelerated trend stays.

Is this a cumulative graph? Would be good to find out what’s in the 30-40bn low carbon tech exports to us. because it must be much much more than wind, solar and biofuels.

Annual. Have a paper coming out showing more granular data on what Europe is at good at. Don’t have bilats on products with USA. But one can infer: it’s clean tech machines!

I think that needs more unpicking. The IRA was passed in 2022 and most of the new manufacturing capacity for eg solar PV, batteries, EVs was only beginning to come online in 2024, with many more projects due for completion over the coming years.
