Ages ago I predicted that there would be a quiet series of 'technical improvements' under Starmer to EU/UK trading arrangements under Brexit, to the point where 'we might as well rejoin the SM/CU'. I'm still hoping that the 'red lines' quotes are just an electoral strategy in the meantime, but... 🤔

The proposals are nothing like the single market & customs.
These are proposals for youth mobility, security, and the alignment of rules under the ECJ (which makes no sense with joining the CPTPP).
SMEs and small companies are still going bankrupt because of this.
You mean economically and socially destructive.
This is my company you are talking about destroying while you make the case for nonsense.
There is no 'groundwork' (as you call it) because it is govt policy to be CPTPP members.
Labour supporters are worse than Tory Brexiters.
It is depressing.
They are actually far less pro EU than some are the farmers who did vote leave but who now want EU standards and membership back.
It is insane really how tribal some people are.
