Two bad bits of goalkeeping and 20 ropey minutes, no doubt, but think the commentary has been overly damning of Tottenham’s performance. They have scored four times.

Hardly a mention we have 10 players out, a 2nd goal keeper, a 18yr old Midfielder having to play in defence, Kids on the bench...Suffered 2 goal keeping errors, but still scored 4 goals, still won the game, & despite Ange's tactics they love to mock, I think he has beaten Man Utd 4 times now 🤔
What do you expect, its literally MUTV these days. Not that it was ever much different. Does Gary Neville know that the idea is to score more goals than the opposition? No prizes for anything other than that.
Worthwhile considering that Spurs bench as well. Compare the cards that Amorim had to play in the second half vs what Ange saw when he looked down the subs ...
Good point. I think Fraser's done better than people expected since coming back in, but tonight showed why this is not a viable idea for any length of time. He can cover the odd game here or there, in an extended run the chances of horror shows like tonight increase.
The goals weren't caused a result of mistakes by the defense though. Insisting your keeper plays out from the back when he can't (like McCarthy at Southampton) you deserve that stubbornness called out
I genuinely think that most people are wrong when they complain about biased commentary, everyone thinks that everyone is against their team, but Neville really does hate Tottenham. He’s the epitome of “lads it’s Tottenham” and will completely refuse to show them any respect
I missed the first half but the second half, as soon as we conceded the first, we completely lost control.
It's not just that, you expect opponents to get better, it's the panic that always sets in.
Bissouma who had been outstanding was looking nervous, Forster, Son tripping over himself.
United came into the game with a fresh team and still got toyed with for 20 minutes at the start of the 2nd half before Forster and fatigue set in.
I guess judging the Spurs performance in the context of an injury crisis where they really can't rotate is to much to expect for a professional pundit.
The underlying message in most of the media is ‘You’re naive and your football won’t work here’. Put another another way - ‘You’re not good enough’. This is what Ange has faced this his whole career and it’s starting to grate as a spurs fan.
He is just as annoying as my then clients going on and on about the non-existent 'Millennium Bug' despite being shown that their systems had already been upgraded to store years as four digits.
At least Neville didn't demand that I was sober and on call NYE 1999...
Good take, Seb I agree.
Feels like Sky are trying to compete in an extreme airspace for more and more hot takes, angry/emotional soundbites etc. for the TikTok generation (which is ironic as they’re the generation being priced out of football)
The weird thing is I bet if you'd asked Carragher before the draw who he's want Liverpool to get Spurs would have been his last choice because he knows that on our day we can blast anyone off the pitch.

But I think 2 was ..kind😉
It's a common theme.
