📢 1.95 is rolling out now (2/6)

With this release, you can now display replies by “hotness,” which weights liked replies that are more recent more heavily.

Not a bug, but intended behavior; but you're otherwise correct: the intended behavior was to change it for everybody who has never changed that setting from the previous default.
