I've walked out of Targets because I've passed by their underwear and it was behind glass, and I wasn't even shopping for underwear.

Of course this shit keeps people from bothering to buy. If it's not on a shelf or a hook for me to grab, I'm just going to leave.

Especially with Walgreens, but they lock things up and then the store only has one employee working and it’s hard to track them down. I could just go to target and grab it off the shelf.

Our Walgreens has had the same four employees forever. They seem to be overworked and always there. It is within walking distance of our house. This suburb is a food desert. It is funny what can work as a third space in late stage capitalism.

at our Walmart, the deodorant is behind a plastic door and when you open it an alarm sounds that also screams that an employee will be by to help you soon. like. I'm good on that. lol. I'll just go somewhere else. Farther away. and more expensive, probably.
