I hear most fast food in other nations tends to be higher quality, or they don't do as well. I think Karaage chicken recipesmeans KFC has to step up to impress Japanese clients.

This being from Japan gives it SLIGHTLY more context. Not in the sense of "japan is weird lol", but that KFC has a surprisingly strong cultural foothold there. The average viewer probably didn't question the use of rabbits if they were thinking "Hey, that's Christmas dinner!"
