I learned about the murder from the memes that popped up on cancer support groups. At exercise class, a friend was talking to her daughter at UHC in Minneapolis who was distraught about the death of the man she worked with for six years. Killing cancer patients didn't occur to the UHC employees. 😟

The two positions you present are not necessarily linked. People hate corporations that profit from misery. They do that regardless who pulled the trigger - or what their motivations were. “Disgruntled patients” trivializes the amount of harm and suffering these companies cause.

Agree, but that seemed like a professional hit to me, not an upset family member of a victim of our healthcare system. Someone powerful wanted him gone. Maybe this is about another US problem—the shady stuff that the uber wealthy, including the newly elected president and friends, get involved in.

for diabetes and pre-diabetes would save tons! It never works. So they require pre-authorization and/or medical review of specific procedures, they skinny down networks, they increase cost sharing for patients. All transactional moves that add zero value to patients. It’s such bs.
