What exactly is it going to take before we do something? I mean, they are freezing help to millions as of 5pm today. Is this not an emergency? I don't have any answers but we do elect people who are supposed to have some..🦋💙

It's a big emergency for a whole lot of people. It's especially disturbing that funding will be reviewed if it's "in line with the president's agenda". Best I can tell, the agenda is to consolidate power and line powerful pockets.

Iowa has 2 rethuglican senators & 4 rethuglican congresspeople. I’ll call them but I also call some from other states.
Every once in a while, I get an aide who says they’ll give the elected official the message. Mostly, my call goes to voicemail.
We need to start creating parallel systems. Mutual aid, common funds, not for profit endeavors, organizing labor both in action and in unions. Take away their hold on people and the dependency on capitalism and the broken system that supports it
Unfortunately most organized work is focused on navigating the system rather than bypassing it or undermining it - lawsuits and legislative advocacy, which have limited efficacy even when the system had a semblance of functionality.
That's why I'm telling people to abandon the Democrats.
