What about Michael's point that since we didn't need to sell Rutter for PSR that cash should be available? If there's a counter argument to that I'd be interested in hearing it
I'm not saying this is the case because haven't seen accounts. But say PSR balance was £0 pre Rutter sale and that PSR balance couldn't drop below £0. As we made no profit, the PSR balance after Rutter would still be £0. Therefore if we then spent the cash we got, we would dip below the allowable.
Yeah it is hard to know fine details, but it probably gave us a tiny bit of breathing space but not loads. My point is that his sale wouldn't have helped PSR much at all, so hard to guess whether we have room to manoeuvre. It's the PSR regs not cashflow that stops us spending I think
Although personally I aay fuck it. Spend what you want to get up. Then in the PL, again spend what you want, confess straight away to get a tiny point deduction and live your best life. 😂😂 But 49ers seem a very careful and cautious bunch.
