I agree with this down to every cell of my being.

It's time to take solace and pride in what people disparigingly call a bubble. I don't need to talk to the 'other side', to the hate-filled, the reactionary, the proudly low-info. I don't have their books on my shelves, I don't invite them over. And I don't need to hear what they have to say online.

That has been my tactic all along. I know their point of view. I know they voted for a racist, a rapist, a misogynist, a grifter, a fake in every sense of the word. I have nothing to glean from them at this point. I am interested in those who did not vote for him and his ilk across the spectrum.

Indeed, we need to stop using or normalizing the term "bubble." It devalues and trivializes what is actually a movement, a cohort, a community that has strength and purpose. We are not something ephemeral that will burst. Let's not accept terminology that categorizes as insular and fragile.
