The business owners ant to know what money you will bring to their district and what employment regulations you will streamline. That’s all they care about. The people who have family on Medicaid need to know you will fight to keep their health. Being “nice” and cute cows aren’t going to help you.

My great uncle was a dairy farmer. I think you underestimate tremendous amount of discipline & work & strength involved in caring for dairy cows. Cute is not a word I would use for dairy farming! It's a deep day-in, day-out commitment, a firm warrior stance.

This is a rural district where being a real dairy farmer is a very big plus. There isn't a lot of industry that isn't connected to lumbering or farming. There is a lot of tourism from Canada. Also, openly aggressive campaigning doesn't play well in rural New York.

Agree partially - but also go up north where in Saranac, Tupper and Placid there is a huge tourism and hospitality industry that needs less regulations, and more employees. If Gendebien can win over those business-oriented people he has a chance.

I saw that today, although I was on the go. Albany NY democrats have picked a decent candidate... Genderbien a farmer and farming is a prominent vocation in that area.

He strikes me as a strong/decent guy and focused on real issues. So 🤷🏻‍♂️ we got nothing to lose and everything to gain at the moment.
