The universe is at work today. I was checking out your profile and first post references the tule plant! I live in my home town, which is on Tule Creek and but for a spelling mishap would be named Tule.

Tule is a fun word…
It can be extremely specific in common usage depending on region or can be more general.

So much can be done with Bullrushes and other aquatic plants…

I'd love to use them in my front/backyard, but I can't justify installing a pond when the Ogallala is dropping precipitously. There are lots of playa lakes, tho, so I get to enjoy them often.

Here, Tule is used as a location descriptor b/c we retained the Comanche name & is pronounced tool-eee.
