This makes me feel very old as the elf wasn’t around in the ‘00s…. But my son was born in the Netherlands so Santa was Sinterklaas who arrived from Spain on a boat and delivered presents on a white horse with his controversial companion Zwarte Piet. V confusing for us expats.
