I think Starmer can stop with the diplomacy now, and move straight to rejoining the EU , also strengthen our commitment to EU Coalition in Ukraine, and make bonds with Canada. Trump has isolated the US, so be it. We're an old Country with ties to Europe that the US will never understand. - ThreadSky

That is the smart play. Unfortunately, the UK establishment seems to be clinging to the hope the "special relationship" will keep Trump in line.
Canada, the UK, and the EU need to make a definitive, unmistakable clean break from the US. The US is no longer to be trusted on any issue or treaty.

I agree he'll be reluctant and may try to weasel onto the side of the US. However, he may find he has protests on his hands. Big protests. he's already unpopular, the double whammy of disability benefits cuts and this..may see him ousted if he doesnt do the right thing.

Starmers bought and paid for unfortunately. Everything he’s done so far has made the 99% worse off.
There’s no way in hell that he will consider rejoining the EU or the WM/CU
