I heard that before, but why? Shouldn’t you have a backup? Let’s say your company gets blocked or suspended?

That might actually be a good reason. You don’t need to back it up “in case it goes down”, because AWS (from memory 10 years ago) backs it up itself, 3 copies if memory serves

Yes, I’m thinking more about preventing human error or suspension for whatever reason. S3 itself seems to be super durable.

AWS has a long term storage thing, that might work for avoiding human error? It all depends on your use case I guess

Not S3, but I'm using Backblaze for off-site backups of my local machines. Takes a VERY long time for the first backup but is pretty seamless thereafter.

Ahh yes, super happy with Backblaze to back up my machines too. Have been using it for years.
