Current technologies allow sampling indoor air on a continuous real-time basis to allow measurement of viral loads in air duct systems of complex buildings. Quite similar to wastewater testing that can also be applied to complex buildings.

We could/should be exploring air surveillance as a natural counterpart to wastewater surveillance. Environmental pathogen burden is a great surrogate for risk and gets around both logistic challenges and issues of representativeness that accompany testing individual people
