126 domestic cats in the U.S. have been infected with bird flu since 2022, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department.

Around half of those cases were recorded this year, and many were exposed through food or milk.

You shouldn't really give your cats milk anyway (but the problem with pasteurized milk is lactose intolerance, so it's not as serious as the danger of infection from raw milk).

A friend of mine lost two of hers, from a tub she opened a few days after Kira died, which was a couple days after the first cat died.

Wild Coast knew about both of those cats, but didn't say anything publicly until the first of my friend's cats died.

They didn't even bother to notify the stores that carried their product. I called half a dozen after her second cat went into the hospital, & the only one that had heard is the one in my neighborhood, who heard it from Kira's owner.
