Procratination is a difficult guest whenever it decides to come visit 🫠Now I have a visual in my head, a lazy version of me, all carefree and smiles. Every time I roll my chair back on my workdesk, it pushes me away again and tells me to look at my phone and check the notifications! 🥺
I set my environment to be as distraction-free as possible and use the starting task method where you don't try to go for a run but put on running shoes :D Like making the goal the starting point.
If it's anxiety procrastination I'll usually figure out a reward or get emotional support ( • ⩊ • )
Tho sometimes I just let myself procrastinate if it's actually helpful :D (It helps me get another task done that I'll need to do later anyway or it helps me relax cause that's not always easy to do) But in that case I try to set my mindset into acknowledging it but accepting it
This was recommended to me as well! Breaking down big tasks make them seem manageable. And when you finally get to clean to countertops, you get a sense of achievement and makes you feel rewarded.
(That's how a lot of gaming apps keep us addicted heehe)
What's that? 😆 I usually make detailed lists and like do one little thing at a time. That way I don't feel as bad procrastinating everything else. Lol 😅
It depends on the severity,
But most of the time I'll ask my cat for help, and collectively we'll hype eachother up by making half hearted trill sounds.
Eventually he'll bolt out the room and I'll follow to do the task
i put together schedules to try to maximize my time better (including viewing rest as productive) and im working to be okay w just sitting at my desk for the hour i penned in for X task, bc each time i do it i end up doing more 1/2
habit forming is a slow process, but im already getting up earlier than i used to (where id scroll in bed for hours before) and ive increased my output for drawing so far! one thing at a time :) next is gaming, then writing. my schedule is slowly saving me
Putting things in schedules! This feels like organizing chaos 👀a time-management trainer recommended this as one of the methods. She even suggested to "Put it in your calendar at work, so people will know they shouldn't be bothering you!" heheheh
oh yeah its SO useful at work lol i WILL say that for the first week or so it really feels like youre failing (in my experience) bc you do 'waste' time practicing it, but then you start noticing lil improvements and they stack up fast which feels so good!
I try to set a goal for myself, even if it's just a small one; and then when I achieve said goal, I give myself a little reward, such as a favourite snack, doing one of my favourite activities, or something along those lines 🥹
I start with a shower then I hope for the best it usually works 💪🏻 ( cause I have diagnosed depression and then some so showers are usually the breakthrough when I'm also procrastinating)
I trick myself into domino tasks. Like, if I see a red car I have to start laundry, but if I start laundry that means I also have to make the bed to fold the laundry on. Sometimes it's reversed, I'll make the bed to fold the laundry which pushes me to load the washing machine.

😭 I'm a bad example.
And it doesn't help that I still do a really good job in the end, even if I crammed so hard at the last 24 hours 🫠
I had all the time to do it, but my brain is like, "Relax, kid. We can finish this in a super short time!"

This is the first time I hear about the 'starting task method' 🥺 that is worth a shot!
Example:
Clean the kitchen
Becomes
Clean countertops
Becomes
Empty (and/or) fill dishwasher
