Putting out into the world that y’all need to be nicer to retail workers because they’re human and have actual feelings and emotions. Because the vibes have been even more OFF this year and I’ve been in retail for 8 years and it’s never been this bad!

Speaking as a manager myself, that's some poor as shit people managing skills, for one. That's just demeaning to hear. If it's about performance, there's better ways to constructively address it.
Two: NOT A PERSON?! THEY CAN KICK ROCKS WITH THAT BULLSHIT STATEMENT!!
A company is built on the backs of the people who work the floor. I'll be DAMNED if some upper manager said that to one of my coworkers.
If you like your job, I get it, but consider working for a competitor if they're not valuing YOU.
I spent 16 in food service and I'm glad to be out of it.
Working a seafood restaurant made me see some *things*
Get your stuff and get out its easy. Need help ask(nicely)? And the cashier? Not your therapist or captive audience. Normalize no forced small talk
But yes!!! It’s so easy to just be normal and ask for help if you need it in a less demeaning or demanding way! BIG emphasis on the we are not therapists or captive audience 😔
I just hope people are gonna be okay Thur/Fri cause not all of them are there by choice to work. the pre sales Thursday evening usually are people hostage to their jobs greed.
