also speaking of original hardware i managed to grab a working ps2 (w/3 controllers(they're kinda fucked) and ffx(disc only)) for $20 dollars. currently just trying to get an network adapter for it

swag hell yeah. the official network adapter can still be used for some online games even today. if u want it for online its cool but if you want it to load games from an HDD the third party ones are the way to go bc the official adapter only supports really old SATA drives—
