I am reminded of one of the things I love so much about this series, and that's all the little reveals. Like when Ritsuko says, "oh god, it's breaking out of the restraints" and Hyuuga asks, "it's breaking out of the WHAT??"

Sometimes wish I could erase my memory and re-watch this for the 1st time

Same! My last rewatch of original series was 2020, which I think was also when 3.0+1 came out.

And man, even though I can't have a first time experience again, at least re-watching it is always incredible. There's always something new I glean each time (like how often the adults use Rei to guilt Asuka and Shinji into doing things they don't wanna 😂)

Aaaaa a fellow Eva enthusiast!! This is actually why I'm re-watching - I only watched the first and second Rebuild films (when they came out a million years ago) and really want to sit down and give them all a proper viewing!
