I have been waiting 40 years for this! The most adaptable series of Asimov’s works for the screen finally making it to the screen!

I frankly hope they don’t stray too much from the source material like Foundation did. Read them again just a couple of years ago and they hold up beautifully, IMO.

I want them to give it the Foundation treatment: take the books and setting as loose inspiration, and do something beautiful and unconstrained with it.

That’s the thing I think about.. something like Caves of Steel doesn’t NEED to cost 300 million dollars or whatever, as proved by the BBC in 64. One hopes they have the wisdom to realise Caves of Steel needs to play like an Agatha Christie movie, not Star Wars.
