We got 5th out of 11, and our best win was beating Sparkin/Shoe/John Lawless. We went Falco and double peach which is kinda cancerous ngl but I had a blast. The next event was doubles which I didn’t participate in b/c I just wanted to chill and hang out b/c there were SO MANY people there

When Singles came around, my winner’s round 1 was Takeshi. I won game 1 but lost games 2 and 3 in heartbreaking fashion. I was up 2 stocks to 1 in both of those games 😖🔫

Then I lost to Joan the narc in losers round 1. I saw them playing marth before our set so I was mentally preparing for marth just to sit down and see them pick fox on the CSS

Finally, the pea made 5th out of 14 in redemption bracket. Kirby is such a fun character until my opponent figures out that camping him out is the best way to beat him. He’s just so dang slow in the air!

the other tournament I went to recently was the first iteration of Mikey’s Frederick fest. That house makes for such a good venue. My winners round 1 was TD Bolt, and we had a very close set. I won game 1 and then in game 2 I had to mount a comeback to win.

My next two sets were Malachi and DIP. I didn’t have much of a chance against Malachi but I had my first actually competitive set with DIP. He usually just presses buttons on my shield until I crumble into dust but I did a good job of not panicking and holding shield when I saw him approaching and
