one of the things that makes Digimon fun is that it treats Christianity as another mythological source on par with Greek or Norse mythologies. you wind up with a lot of remixed & mashed up concepts. results in a cool design space if you’re a theology nerd like i am.
Well damn, considering that’s kinda how I was going to teach my kids about several religions, I might just stick them in front of the tv and put some digimon on instead
there's so many little details that i love in this frame. the little platform they made for him, the fact that he's off center so his tail doesn't bump the center post, his extra arms that are just left dangling, they way he just kinda looks like a disappointed grandfather... unparalleled art
It looks to me like he is wearing a skin. The white part is the skin of another digimon. The even put loops for his hands to go in so the arms move with his.
