The most vulnerable members of the Senate, like Jon Ossoff, are also clear nos on both cloture and the CR. You have calls from moderate Dems (e.g. Susan Rice) and moderate Republicans out of office (e.g. Kinzinger) to vote no.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.
Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.
