It's ironic that Trump and Musk are so worked up about how taxes are spent, given that they both proudly avoid paying any.
But ordinary citizens' money being used to enforce laws against corruption is more obviously a problem for them. Laws and taxes are, after all, just for 'little people'.

Why would we not expect this? Corruption is always rife in dictatorships. Look at the Marcos regime in the Philippines. Nazi Germany was extremely corrupt. Fascism is a reactionary movement, so it seeks to protect the class system and reward those at the top for loyalty.
