Hey folks, if ya got a minute... I'd love to see Selaco's score on Steam heal up... Recent reviews are still "Mixed" from hatebombing after recent drama with the Anti-Woke Awards (they ran an ad for the game, dev stated Selaco never asked for one, they got mad).

It's BS, we all know the game rocks.

the game is a banger. don't be put off by it being early access either, it's polished. 30 hours in and only a handful of bugs. i think they just want to add more chapters before a full release.

I don't have Selaco, because I'm bad at first person shooters outside the Borderlands series, but my friends who are good at them pretty much across the board tell me that it's one of the greatest of all time, so like, the review bombing here is just absurd.

And running ads at the so-called awards did give the impression that the "show" was being sponsored by studios or developers, who were featured without their knowledge or permission, so of course devs having this sprung on them out of nowhere would want to distance themselves from this shitshow!

The review-bombing of Selaco's steam reviews is retribution for the developers clarifying that they didn't sponsor or advertise the livestream, it's extremely petty and vindictive. And a cynical person might suggest the aim was to embroil developers in a controversy deliberately.

That's what I found so creepy about the review bombing. The perceived "infraction" was just people affirming that they weren't associated, and that was enough to attract the ire of these neckbeards because they'd likely paid money to vote.

Fans attach way too much emotion to awards.
